What are Positive Affirmations?


You become what you think you are. So think the best about yourself and be your best version. Our thinking has a strong impact on our behavior. For eg. If I think, I am aggressive and I often repeat this in my mind, I end up being more aggressive. On the other hand, If I constantly remind myself that I am a calm person l, I would surely become calm. These are what we call positive and negative affirmations.


Impact of Positive Affirmations


1. Positive Vibe

Self Love begins with positive affirmations. To be your best version, you not only need to love yourself but also express it now and then. This positive expression of love will have a positive impact on your personality. You will have a feeling of positivity inside and outside you.


2. High self-esteem

When you think positively about yourself, you get to know your worth. Positive Affirmations make you believe in yourself and boost your self-esteem which is your value in your own eyes.


3. Confidence

Positive Affirmations give you confidence in yourself. You get to know your worth and then you stand confident in every situation. This confidence comes from the positive mindset that endorses, "I am no less than anyone else".


4. Success

You can achieve success only when you believe that you are capable of getting it. Positive Affirmations provide you with this strong belief of "Yes, I can do it". Then you jump into the sea of opportunities and then no one can stop you from grabbing the best ones for you.

How to make Positive Affirmations?

There are a few things that we need to keep in my mind to make Positive Affirmations as a reminder to ourselves.


  • Positive Affirmations are always in Affirmative/Positive sentences.

I am a calm person. ✅️


  • Positive Affirmations do not contain any negative words.

E.g. I can control my anger in every situation. ❌

I remain calm in every situation. ✅


Tips to Practice Positive Affirmations.

Here are a few to make effective positive affirmations.


1. Making a Positive Affirmation

Make a positive affirmation ( I always complete my work on time) and practice repeating it for at least seven days.


2. Writing

Write this affirmation on some pieces of paper.


3. Pasting

Paste the pieces of paper at places where you can see and read them regularly (washroom mirror/fridge/kitchen cabinets/cupboards etc.).


4. Reading Aloud

Whenever you see these written affirmations, read them aloud.


5. Reading Aloud Before Sleep

Keep one written piece of paper under your pillow. Read it aloud seven times before you sleep.


6. Reading Aloud Right After you wake up

As soon as you wake up, try to grab that written piece of paper (instead of your mobile phone😋) and once again read the affirmations aloud seven times at least.

7. Understanding and feeling

Reading Affirmations must include understanding the meaning and feeling it.


8. Daydreaming / Imagining

During the daytime or nighttime, take some time to daydream about your goal. Imagine yourself being very well-managed and completing things on time. Repeat this practice every day.


9. Observe Results
